Within a few kilometers of Kuala Tahan you will find many limestone outcrops. Limestone often means caves and Taman Negara houses many cave systems. Close to Kuala Tahan are the Gua Telingga, "The Ear Cave" which has a rock formation like a human ear . The Ear Cave is carved through limestone outcrop by a stream which runs through the cave. Gua Telingga is one of the famous caves here. The atmosphere in this cave is damp, dark and harbours a multitude of life forms such as round leaf bats and race snakes.

Ancient drawings on the walls of the cave speaks of a mysterious past. Cave exploration also known as SPELUNGKING is definitely worth a try when you visit Taman Negara.
